Daily Devotions

CH Spurgeon
These devotional readings are largely taken from expository thoughts shared by Spurgeon at the end of his sermons. Going through a Bible passage verse by verse, he would make brief comments with his usual candour and practicality, applying the text directly to his hearers. They have been collated from the Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit, and lightly edited for clarity and cohesion.

Joseph Hall
Bishop Joseph Hall (1574 – 1656) was a prolific writer, penning many volumes of devotional works as well as poetry and satire. His Contemplations on the Historical Passages of the Old and New Testaments provide rich devotional material as he meditates on the work of Creation, the Fall, and the providence of God revealed through His dealings with His people.
