The way to know God never changes throughout the Bible. This approach from a prophet-preacher 700 years before Christ is exactly the same as that found throughout the New Testament. Here are the steps of Hosea, to which the Lord will respond.
The Lord Jesus Christ said: ‘Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.’
‘Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.’
‘O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.’
(Matthew 11.28-29; John 6.37. Hosea 14.1)

Permit me, as a pastor for many years, to plead with you not to let the ultimate meaning and purpose of life pass you by. True fulfilment and happiness depends on knowing who we are, and knowing the Lord, our Creator. Don’t let yourself be swept away, programmed and ruled by the shallow things of materialism and hedonism. We need God and one day we must give account to Him.
